George France loved sharing railway history on a scale that everyone, especially children could relate to. He built a mini-rail train on his property outside of Peace River. He shared his love of trains in a very practical way. George passed away recently and bequeathed his mini-rail to the museum.
Ivan and Ric drove to Peace River and met with his daughter Lil who also donated boxes of train magazines, CD's and DVD's.
The museum plans to set up the mini-rail this summer for our visitors to enjoy some "hands on" railroading. We are looking for volunteers to help set up the mini-rail display.
Thanks to George and his family for this significant donation!
