Museum volunteers who are either currently employed by or retired from CN (and their spouses!) are reminded that the deadline to apply for a 2019 CN Railroaders in the Community Grant is fast approaching!
If you volunteer a minimum of forty (40) hours per year for a recognized charitable organization as an active employee, CN will donate a grant of $1,000 to that organization. CN Pensioner volunteers can likewise earn grants of $500 for the charity. Spouses, too, are eligible to submit for grant approval as a recognition of their work with organizations such as ours. The Alberta Railway Museum has been the grateful recipient of thousands of dollars annually through this program, money that goes back into our museum to help preserve, restore and tell the important story of the railways’ contribution in developing and settling this province.
