Thank you very much for attending and participating in the ARM's 1st Rules and Switching Workshop. Mother Nature took pity on us and offered us two days of rain and snow weather that included warm sun and a slight breeze to keep the pesky mosquitoes at bay. The marvellous home-made soup buns and deli meats supplied by the "Judy and Judy' show was able to "soothe the savage beasts" at lunch time on Saturday and with the baking snacks and treats provided took the pressure off of me.
The high levels of enthusiasm, interest and team work made this endeavour flow smooth as silk. Of the many high lights of the weekend, one that stood out at the top was the camaraderie that was shown amongst the many different personalities that make up a valued volunteer group such as ours. Lending hands and mentoring was flowing freely and at the end of today, we had some laughs, had fun and actually got some work done.
Although the massive switching list did not get completed this weekend (next Saturday??), what was accomplished was done safely, efficiently and I feel everyone came away with a good feeling of making many accomplishments. A big "thanks" to all:Dennis, Jim, Ted, Don, Barry, Steve, Ken, Ken J, Mike, Brent, Nathan, Ivan and Ric.
I also can't forget a big "Thanks" to Brad, Dave M and Dave H who along with our talented group was able to get 9000 up and running smoothly so that this weekend operations could take place.
