Barry C ran herd on the CSVs, cooked lunch and then finished the afternoon on the John Deere riding lawnmower until it broke - again. Looks like it is getting old and tired and when it's had enough for the day, just decides to throw the belt off. The lawnmower, that is, not Barry
CSV's helped tarp "Rycroft", cut brush, cleaned the inside of Opal Station, mowed and trimmed lawns, finished nail pulling and complained about their health, the lack there-of or how one's new shoes were going to get dirty.
Ted plugged some holes in the boiler of Locomotive 1392 and got water in the boiler. Oh, there is a difference in plugging boiler holes and putting boiler plugs in? This stuff is just too technical!
Phil and Jamie finally realized that some cleanup in the carpenter shop was overdue so enlisted the help of Don and the tractor to haul garbage to the garbage bin, metal to the metal bin and wood to the wood bin, er pile, burn pile that is. They couldn't stretch that job to last the day so had to rip out a piece of boardwalk by the bunk car and replace it with a new section.
Don helped Phil and Jamie move stuff with the tractor, assisted Ted with 1392 and fixed the lawnmower for Barry. He sure is a handy guy to have around.
