The crossing will also allow access to the new lay-down yard which will be developed in the same location. All rail, track jewelry and associated materials will be stored there rather than east of Peavey Station. The site has yet to be prepared. Thanks to Brad for the crane lift of the trucks and the track.
Don has installed a longer culvert at Blackfoot crossing. The crossing will be widened to allow for access to the service road.
Irene spent several hours on Wednesday inventorying the contents of the various boxcars that are used for storage. She had two CSVs helping her and she now has photos of the contents of each car. There are still some cars to go through but a good start has been made.
We are looking forward to welcoming our colleagues from the Edmonton Garrison on Military Day. Irene will staff the gift shop. She will be assisted by Chris and perhaps Heidi if the visitor load gets high. Military folks will be admitted free and other visitors will pay the usual rates.
Congratulations to the following:
Ted and Jim for a very successful CN Family Day display.
Stephen, Gloria and Niale who handled the Great Edmonton Train Show for us.
My thanks to these people on behalf of the Association.
